Individual disability coverage
If you have an individual plan in place, this group LTD coverage would not offset your plan. We suggest not replacing your individual disability coverage policy (non-cancellable) with this new policy. Instead, you might consider modifying your existing plan and using the savings to purchase the NAPFA plan as a supplement.
Employer group disability coverage or group disability through another association
Disability benefits received from other group LTD plans could reduce the benefits you receive from the NAPFA plan. In some cases, it might make sense to keep both group coverages in place. If you have other group LTD coverage that you intend to keep along with the NAPFA LTD plan, please contact us so we can help you determine how this group coverage may or may not offset benefits.
